QR Code Scanner & Creator keeps scanning and QR creation on your Android device. The app has no developer-operated account system or remote backend.

Matěj Teplý, publishing as Majkey, maintains this app and is responsible for support correspondence received at majkeylab@gmail.com.

QR content, camera, and selected images

Camera frames and images selected through Android Photo Picker are decoded locally. They are not saved or transmitted. Scanned and created QR content is not sent to Google Mobile Ads or to the developer.

When you choose an Android action, only the relevant content is passed to the system screen or app you select. Those services have their own privacy policies.

Contacts and files

The app does not request broad contacts, photo, or storage access. Android's pickers grant access only to the item you choose. Generated QR images use temporary app cache and are shared only when you open the Android share sheet.

Advertising

The free version uses Google Mobile Ads. After any required consent choice, Google's SDK may automatically collect and share the device IP address, app interactions, diagnostic information, Android advertising ID, app set ID, and related device or account identifiers for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. Google encrypts this data in transit. Ad requests never include QR content.

Users in supported regions receive Google's consent form before ads can be requested. When required, Ad privacy options in About lets you change that choice. QR Premium disables all ad requests after Google Play verifies the entitlement.

QR Premium purchases

QR Premium is offered as an auto-renewing monthly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase handled by Google Play. A subscription renews until you cancel it in Google Play. The app queries Google Play for the products and current purchase states, and receives the product ID, purchase status, and purchase token needed to unlock and acknowledge Premium. Payment details are handled by Google and are not available to the developer. The app has no purchase backend.

Purchases belong to the Google Play account that bought them. Use Restore purchase in About with that account on another device. Pending purchases do not activate Premium. You can manage or cancel a monthly subscription in Google Play; version 1.1.5 also links there directly from About. Lifetime Premium is a one-time purchase, not a recurring subscription. Scanning and QR creation do not require a purchase.

Local storage and retention

The app has no QR history or developer-operated cloud copy. Its settings store a completed-scan counter and last-ad timestamp to limit full-screen ad frequency. Google's advertising and consent components also manage their own on-device preferences and caches. Android manages temporary cache. Clearing app data or uninstalling removes local app data, but does not cancel a subscription or remove copies held by Google or a sharing destination. Those services retain data under their own policies.

This website and support

GitHub Pages hosts this website and processes visitor information, including IP addresses, under GitHub's privacy statement. This site adds no analytics or advertising.

Private support email is used to answer and investigate your request. The retention rule is deletion within 90 days after the case closes. A case closes when resolved, or after 90 days waiting for the requester's reply. Records needed for an actual unresolved refund, dispute or legal preservation duty are retained until that matter is resolved or the applicable statutory period ends; unrelated correspondence follows the 90-day rule. You can request earlier deletion where applicable rights allow it.

Public GitHub issues are visible to everyone and form the project's technical issue history. GitHub hosts them under its own privacy terms. Do not post private QR content, passwords or payment information. Contact the maintainer to request removal of personal information from content the maintainer controls.

The website has no forms or mailing list. A support request is not consent to marketing. Support handling relies on responding to your request and legitimate interests in maintaining the app; purchase-related support and required records may also involve contractual or legal obligations. Your data rights

Where GDPR applies, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, and object to processing where the conditions for those rights apply. Contact the address below for information handled by the maintainer. You can withdraw advertising consent through the app's ad privacy options when available. Google and GitHub explain their processing, international transfers and safeguards in their linked privacy notices.

You can complain to your local supervisory authority. In Czechia this is the Office for Personal Data Protection. No maintainer-operated profiling or automated decision system processes your QR content.

Children and changes

This general utility is not directed to children. Material policy changes will appear here with a new app release.
