Selia Weather

Terms of use

Updated 22 September 2026

These terms describe the official free Selia Weather app and its project pages. The developer is Matěj Teplý, publishing as Majkey25. Contact: majkeylab@gmail.com.

Using the app

The app requires Android 10 or later. Network access is needed for fresh forecasts, maps and archive downloads. Features also depend on provider coverage, Android permissions, the launcher and device settings. Existing cached data may be available offline. Test releases can have unfinished features.

The current release has no paid features, subscriptions or advertising. Optional external support through Buy Me a Coffee does not unlock features, guarantee future work or change forecast accuracy. See payments and refunds.

What the weather information means

Forecasts, calculated blends and historical grid estimates can be incomplete, delayed or wrong. Coverage and useful forecast range vary by model and location. The future map displays DWD model precipitation totals, not observed future radar. European and global layers can have different accumulation periods, shown on the map. A saved coordinate or a zoomed map does not guarantee field-level or street-level accuracy.

The app distinguishes observed radar, forecast data and NASA POWER history. History is not a record from a sensor installed at your selected point. Solar energy is not sunshine duration; daily maximum wind is not a measured gust. AI recipients can also make mistakes. Check official weather warnings for safety decisions.

Official warning integration currently covers Czechia and the United States. Unavailable and unsupported feeds are not an all-clear. Background notifications depend on connectivity, permissions and Android scheduling; they may be delayed or missed. This app does not replace official emergency-alert systems. Follow the issuing authority's current instructions.

Your content and exports

Use images and text you have the right to use. You choose whether to share a weather archive and which app receives it. The full archive can contain precise coordinates, your location name and your question. Review the confirmation and recipient's terms before sharing. The privacy policy explains the data flows.

Software and data licences

The project's original source code is available under the MIT licence. Third-party software and weather data retain their own licences. The app's licence does not grant unrestricted rights to every provider's data, logo or trademark.

Problems, changes and legal rights

Report app problems by email or through the issue tracker. Include the app version and a description, but keep private data out of public issues. You may stop using and uninstall the app at any time.

No uninterrupted service, particular forecast outcome or permanent availability of a third-party API is promised. Features may change as providers or Android change. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or removes consumer, privacy or other rights that applicable law makes mandatory.

For information about applicable digital-content remedies, see the European Commission's digital contract guidance and the Czech Trade Inspection consumer guide.
