These terms describe SeliaScan and its website, maintained by Matěj Teplý and published as Majkey. They do not change rights under the MIT License or mandatory consumer law.

Permitted use

The stable GitHub source and binary are open source under the MIT License. A separately maintained Google Play edition may include advertising, Billing, Premium features, and additional terms shown in that edition and its store listing.

Google Play purchases

The Google Play edition offers optional Premium through Google Play Billing. Confirmed Premium removes ads and unlocks premium features. Review the benefits and localized price shown in the app and Google Play before purchase.

Monthly Premium renews automatically each month until canceled. Lifetime Premium is a one-time unlock for SeliaScan, not recurring billing or a purchase of other apps. Purchases belong to the purchasing Google Play account. Use Restore purchases with that account on another device. Pending purchases do not unlock Premium.

You can manage or cancel a subscription in Google Play. Uninstalling does not cancel it. See the refund policy for refund requests and consumer rights.

Optional Buy Me a Coffee contributions are separate from Premium and provide no feature or ad-removal benefit.

Your documents and responsibilities

You retain responsibility for documents you scan, import, save, share, or print. Use SeliaScan only with content you are allowed to process. Check every page, crop, filter, filename, destination, and attachment before relying on or sending it.

SeliaScan is a convenience tool. It does not verify document authenticity, identity, accuracy, delivery, legal sufficiency, regulatory compliance, or acceptance by a recipient. Keep the original document when accuracy or evidentiary value matters.

Storage and external services

Recent scans are temporary working copies and may be cleared by Android. You are responsible for confirming that needed PDFs or images were saved and for maintaining backups.

The scanner depends on Google Play services and ML Kit. Sharing, printing and optional speech playback depend on apps and services you choose. A speech engine may process text online after you confirm playback. GitHub hosts this website and repository. These third parties operate under their own terms and privacy policies; availability and behavior may change independently of SeliaScan.

Local cleanup may alter or omit document details inside a selected region. Keep original documents and review every result before saving or sharing it.

Availability and changes

SeliaScan may be changed, suspended, or discontinued. Compatibility with every device, Android version, mail app, file provider, printer, or document is not guaranteed. Release notes and the version installed on your device determine the available features.

Warranty and consumer rights

The free open-source edition carries the warranty terms in the MIT License. Warranty and liability limitations apply only to the extent allowed by law. They do not remove mandatory rights or remedies for paid digital products that do not work as described. Contact support for a purchase or product problem.

Read the privacy policy and cookie policy for data handling. This website has no checkout or account form.
